有些人的离去，太辉煌，

熄灭之际的余光，

却比生命更闪亮。

死地最深处的赫赫严霜，

也不能冻结，

他勃勃的生机。

唯有更极致更锋利的寒冷，

方可收割，

那如热带大陆般的灵魂。

而太多世人埋首凡尘，

从未得见

远方火山磅礴的烈焰。

只蜉蝣薄羽轻轻扇过，

便轻易扑灭了，

他们黯淡生命的微火。

More Life - went out - when He went

Than Ordinary Breath -

Lit with a finer Phosphor -

Requiring in the Quench -

A Power of Renowned Cold

The Climate of the Grave

A Temperature just adequate

So Anthracite, to live -

For some - an Ampler Zero -

A Frost more needle keen

Is necessary, to reduce

The Ethiop within

Others - extinguish easier -

A Gnat's minutest Fan

Sufficient to obliterate

A Tract of Citizen -

Whose Peat lift - amply vivid -

Ignores the solemn News

That Popocatapel exists -

Or Etna's Scarlets, Choose –
